Graduate Training Programme
Residential training for all graduates and students successfully placed through ScotGrad
The ScotGrad Residential Training Course aims to sharpen the graduate’s or student’s business skills. Tasks during the course include a full analysis of your organisation, pitching, negotiation, project management skills and a presentation to a panel of judges selected by the ScotGrad team. It’s designed so that the student/graduate can take what they’ve learned and apply it to the delivery of their placement project and further enhance their work with you. It also offers peer-to-peer support as your graduate or student will have the opportunity to network with other associates on ScotGrad placements.
We aim to send your graduate on our training course within the first few months of their placement to maximise the benefits from the training for your business.
Currently, the training course is delivered by two of Scotland's top universities, Robert Gordon University and University of Strathclyde. In the Highlands and Islands, graduates will attend training for four days and students will attend for two days. In the Scottish Enterprise area, only graduates will attend a course lasting three days.
The course is provided at no cost to you and ScotGrad will cover the cost of catering, accommodation, and in some cases travel. All we ask is that you release the graduate or student on full pay during work time.
