Summer Placements Eligibility
If you are interested in the summer placements ScotGrad offers, here are a few things to keep in mind before applying.
Highlands & Islands Summer Placement Programme
To apply for a regular student summer placement in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, you have to be a student who:
- Is studying for a undergraduate course at a UK university, having completed at least your first year of studies. You don't have to be in your penultimate year to apply.
- Or you've completed a HNC or HND, and intend to continue studying.
- Or you've completed an undergraduate degree and intend to study further at postgraduate level (Masters, PhD).
Scottish Life Sciences Internship Programme
Occasionally we work with other organisations across Scotland, so there may be student roles out with the regular summer programme. The eligibility criteria for these roles will be different, depending on the placement. It is important to therefore read all of the placement brief and any instructions first, to be sure that you are eligible before applying.
If you have graduated already, or will be graduating this summer, have a look at our graduate placements instead.
