How to apply for graduate placements
The graduate application process is simple
Once you have identified which placement(s) you are interested in, simply click ‘apply for position’. If you have not already done so, you will be prompted to register for a ScotGrad account.
Filling out your application
Take plenty of time to research the company, the placement, and to think about why you are the right candidate for the position.
Check out our careers advice section which is full of useful application guidance, tips and insights.
You can also learn a lot about previous placements by reading the success stories of both graduates and ScotGrad employers.
We recommend that you write your application offline first and use a spell checker before you complete and submit the online form. You will be able to save your application as you go.
Once you’ve submitted your application
Following the closing date, you will be contacted by the ScotGrad team to let you know whether you are eligible and if your application has been sent to the employer. You can double check your eligibility here.
Once your application has been passed on to the employer, they will contact you directly to let you know the status of your application.
You can review your application after you have submitted it, alongside the placement advert. This is especially useful if you have been invited to an interview by the employer.
