Lion Safety is a privately owned and family run business operating in Grangemouth. From here at our head office and main distribution centre, we supply Safety Clothing, PPE and Safety Footwear to all types of industries throughout the UK. As part of our exciting growth plans, the company has developed its own brand and range of Safety Footwear. This will take us on the journey of becoming foot specialists, producing footwear to reduce risks. To match the sales focus, we are requiring matching support in marketing, specifically digital marketing. This placement will be for a 12 month period leading onto full time employment.
Job description
Project Description
As part of the new growth strategy, we need to establish a digital marketing strategy which produces regular and informative content which in turn should produce enquiries for the sales team.
You will be tasked with creating a strategy, working with web developers and SEO specialists to produce targeted marketing campaigns to help facilitate sales growth. A Social Media presence will be created, email marketing plans put in place and managing updates and blog on the new footwear website.
You will be reporting back to the Sales & Marketing Manager.
Placement Objectives
The objective of this placement is to establish our footwear brand and the website as a recognised authority and the "go to" in the marketplace.
We want to increase our Social Media following and also produce engaging content and graphics for the website.
Role Description
Main Tasks:
- Setting up social media (Facebook, Twitter etc) and engaging with the community
- Creating and sending of e-shots to our database
- Creating online campaigns
- Copywriting for adverts and web content
- Working with external designers
- Create online marketing campaigns linked to SEO
- Direct email
- Blogging
- LinkedIn updates
- Attend PR events
- Measuring results
- Ongoing development of website blog
- Liaising with web developers and designers
Qualifications
HND or Degree in Marketing with an emphasis on Digital Marketing.
Skills / Experience
Essential Skills
- Good communication skills including written and verbal
- IT literate
- Positive and 'can-do' attitude
- Comfortable with online research, digital marketing tools and search engine optimisation
- Being able to work as a team
- Good understanding of the various Social Media channels and how to work with them
- Understanding of digital marketing in a commercial environment
Desirable Skills
- Basic knowledge of Google Analytics
- Basic understanding of a graphic design program i.e. Adobe Photoshop
- Ability to work under tight timescales without supervision
