Hyspec Engineering, based in Stewarton in East Ayrshire have an excellent opportunity for a driven and commercially aware graduate to work on a business project which will aim to take our business into new markets. This is a 6 month placement and would be ideal for a graduate with a business related qualification who is keen to commence a career with a growing company in a key business sector.

Project Description
Our business is looking to diversify into new markets and this project will help us better understand the opportunities that exist for us and will also assess the suitability of our internal resources such as equipment, processes and people to serve these markets. Gaining an understanding of sectors such as ADMS and what is required to be a success in this and other sectors, is key to this project.
You will identify the best opportunities for us and determine strategy ahead of entering the new market/s.
Placement Objectives
To compile, collate and present Job Costing Reports on Live and Completed Projects in the Machine, Steel, Coating and Cladding Areas of the business.
Market research and analysis in Oil & Gas sector and other sectors, where Hyspec is willing to diversify into. To analyse the submitted bids and provide results.
Role Description
- Run Live Job Costing Reports and review the data for any errors / adjustments
- Present Live Job Costing Reports on Daily Basis
- Compile Completed Job Costing Reports on Weekly Basis
- Present to all key departments in the business including Sales, Purchasing, Production, Finance, Engineering and Quality
- Run the ‘Quotations submitted’ report and analyse the data
- Communicate with account managers regarding Customer Feedback on submitted bids
- Research and analysis of external market on the advice of sales manager
- Liaise with Engineering Team to Review Planned v Actual Analysis on hours in workshop
Qualifications
HND or Degree in Business related discipline.
