Placement summary

Cambla, which is headquartered in Aberdeen, are looking for a Graduate Project Manager to work within our team initially for 12 months, with the possibility that it could become a permanent position for the right candidate. This role is ideally suited for a graduate who is capable of demonstrating their positive, can-do personality and technical capabilities in an environment which will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure.

Project Description

You will become a key part of the team which is tasked with managing a range of internal and external projects. The scope of possibilities is endless as the team are constantly developing new ideas and products and your input will be invaluable to this, as we assess how we manage our processes, both internally and externally. Over the duration of the placement you will be working on projects for our customers and this will allow you to gain exposure of working on commercial subjects. You will be able to develop your current understanding of Project Management in a practical setting where your ideas and input will be recognised.

Placement Objectives

During your placement you will be given the chance to put your newly developed skills and knowledge to use in a fast paced environment that is constantly evolving.  Your contributions can impact on the development of our current offerings, while helping us mold our future products and applications.

Role Description

This placement will see you taking responsibility for a variety of internal projects. You will need to plan and cost these projects and understand the risks. You will then ensure that these projects are completed within the time and cost budget.

For example:

• Upgrade of our software SAT
• Development of our future software tools
• Implementation of a CRM tool
• Upgrade of our Web Site

You will also use your skills to work on our external projects direct with clients these are typically the provision of planning services in the Oil and Gas industry.

Qualifications

A Degree in Project Management and/or Masters would be ideal but we will also be happy to take applications from graduates with qualifications in other disciplines such as Business or ICT, providing they meet the basic criteria for the role.
