Ayr based Glenammer Engineering worked with ScotGrad to identify a student to deliver a short-term international project which subsequently, developed into a graduate placement opportunity.

For any ambitious company, looking to take advantage of international students studying a postgraduate qualification at Scottish universities, they should consider following in the footsteps of Glenammer Engineering who hired Shu Yang, a Chinese student who was studying for an international strategic marketing postgraduate qualification at the University of Glasgow.

Glenammer were hoping to take their high quality sieve products to China and required an agent to help them with the sales and distribution process. With her language skills and local knowledge, the project was delivered successfully in 3 months and Shu has been retained by the company in a graduate marketing role.
