Livingston based Transcal Ltd is a worldwide renowned interiors designer and manufacturer with blue chip customers across a number of industry sectors. Due to our recent expansion, we are recruiting for a graduate to support the growth in corporate account sales and also to assist in the management of quality and health and safety accreditations for these accounts.

Project Description

This is a key project for us and is closely linked to our current expansion plans. As well as supporting the growth in sales of corporate accounts and the associated quality and health and safety accreditations for these accounts, the successful candidate will also be tasked with forging close relationships with our corporate clients as well as developing and maintaining internal procedures which are commensurate with delivering first class products which are compliant with industry standards.

Placement Objectives

To achieve quality accreditation and build quality systems within factory which are evidenced with customers and allow company to build and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers.

Role Description

Main Tasks:

• Assisting the Quality Manager to obtain and maintain quality accreditations which include TS 16949 Quality Management Systems for the Automotive Industry, ISO 14001 Environmental Management and ISO 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management
• Assist Quality Manager with annual audits relating to aforementioned documentation
• Help to produce audit and statistical reports on health and safety and quality management matters which can be presented to the management team and external regulators and auditors
• Look to develop management level competencies by supporting the Commercial Director on stock procurement, production planning and stock control, with specific reference to corporate customers
• Liaising with corporate customers in relation to delivery schedules and forecasting requirements
• Building relationships with corporate clients and building Transcal's reputation for innovative, quality products, including preparing and delivering presentations to clients

Qualifications

HND or Degree in Business Management or a related discipline

Essential Skills

• Must possess ambitions for developing a career in production management, quality management or health and safety
• Qualifications in health and safety
• Enthusiasm for quality
• First class MS Office skills, in particular with Excel and PowerPoint
• Detailed approach to task management
• Strong and effective interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self starter and effective at working under own initiative

Desirable Skills

• Experience of working in a multi-disciplined team would be helpful
