At Innis & Gunn, Scotland’s leading independent beer company, we have an exciting, unique opportunity for a graduate to join our small marketing team and project manage our e-commerce expansion. We are a dynamic, fast-paced company looking at how we can build brand awareness and expand internationally - come and help set up our Beer Club! This 12 month, Edinburgh-based placement has scope for a longer-term position thereafter.

Project Description
The 12-month project will be made up of 4 stages:
- Market research and competitior overview
- Implementation of new pack formats and pricing
- Design and implementation of new promotional plan, including Beer Club
- International expansion.
Placement Objectives
- Present a monthly report on research into the drinks industry and competitors
- Research into pack formats and pricing for Online Shop items and implement these findings
- Design and implementation of Beer Club
- Research International expansion and present a plan to implement this.
Role Description
You will be joining the Marketing team made up of the Marketing Manager, Brand Manager and Artworker, reporting to the Brand Manager.
Being a Global brand, we are always looking at new markets, so a key part of your role will involve looking at international expansion for the Online Shop, carrying out market research, identifying promotional plans and implementing new pack formats and pricing for international markets.
A core component of this increasing brand awareness will also be setting up and running the Beer Club!
As well as managing the e-commerce expansion the role will also involve supporting the marketing team in the following areas:
- General brand support (sample requests, POS requirements, events)
- Consumer Ambassador Programme support
- Drinks industry research
- Online - website updates, and monitoring online beer forums.
Qualifications
Graduate from an undergraduate or postgraduate degree - all disciplines considered.

Essential Skills
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Interpersonal skills – an outgoing and sociable personality,
- Strong team player but equally competent when developing projects alone
- Self motivated and flexible, able to use own initiative when required
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Instinct for brands.
Desirable Skills
- Drivers licence would be beneficial
- Good understanding of drinks marketing would be advantageous.
