Placement summary
Supatracks, based in Alva in Central Scotland, are launching a new product into the UK market in November 2014. This is an exciting time for us and we are now looking for a talented Project Co-ordinator to oversee our operations during the launch phase. Work on this 6 month placement will be varied and frenetic and potentially could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate. Flexibility and adaptability combined with solid core skills are what we need. An interest in automotive engineering, motorbikes and the outdoors will resonate in this position.

Project Description
This is a very important project for us and will assist us in bringing our new product to market as quickly and as effectively as possible at a time of peak demand for our other products. We are looking for someone who has the essential resilience to address any challenges that appear and the foresight to see the potential problems before they occur. You will also possess the basic understanding to propose solutions to meet or avoid them arising in the first place.
This has the potential to become a permanent role.
Placement Objectives
The key placement objective is to ensure that all our core activities are delivered successfully during the launch phase of our new product. This will mean that you will be tasked with a variety of different activities and will have to ensure that you are able to maintain them all to a high standard.
Role Description
Full support will be provided on all tasks.
Main Tasks:
- Develop and enact market development strategy
- Oversee all project related activity
- Manage logistical arrangements in support of sales
- Participate in all sales and marketing activities
Qualifications
HND or Degree in any of the following: Business Management, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering
Skills / Experience
Essential Skills
- Self starter
- Solid and confident use of social media for B2C and B2B
- Solid and confident use of Windows products
- Comfortable handling and making telephone sales calls
- Appreciation of the basic mechanics of business
- Clean driving licence
- Capable of working effectively on your own
Desirable Skills
- Understanding of the principles of cars, motorbikes or agricultural machinery
- Some practical experience of cars, motorbikes or agricultural machinery
- Retail experience in a niche segment
