At Stoats, we’ve got an amazing opening for a high flying graduate to join us. The key area of this role is ensuring our Scottish multiple retail customers are supported through delivery of a regular product sampling programme, structured promotional campaigns, in-store visits and effective merchandising. This is a 12 month placement, with view to a permanent role, based in Edinburgh.

Project Description
This project will form a key part of the Stoats growth strategy in our fast growing food business. We currently supply more than 2000 retailers in more than 10 markets, but core to this is building our UK multiple business, which you will focus your time on in particular key accounts such as Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Asda and Scotmid.

To grow our business within the multiple retail sector.
Role Description
Along with our Account Manager you will plan and deliver a variety of tactics to ensure that growth within the Scottish multiple retail sector is achieved.
Within this role you will become part of a small, driven team pushing the company forward for rapid growth both in the UK and overseas. You will need to be ambitious and have a desire to see successful results.
Key tasks will include:
- In-store sampling to allow more customers to try and convert to our products;
- Merchandising visits to ensure our products and POS are positioned and correctly displayed in-store;
- Regular reporting of sales performance of your allocated customers;
- Planning promotions across key multiple retail accounts to ensure sales volumes are levelled out;
- Assisting Stoats at events;
- Research & identify NPD opportunities for the Stoats within the multiple retail sector; and
- Review and improve company systems and processes.

Qualifications
Graduate from a HNC, HND, undergraduate or postgraduate degree, in any discipline.
Ideal candidate will hold a minimum 2:2 degree but all applicants will be considered on the basis of their ability to demonstrate the relevancy of their skill-set.
Skills / Experience
Essential Skills
- You must be able to interact successfully with end consumers as well as store employees so that sales growth is driven continuously through these channels.
- Strong communication skills
- Good organisational skills - able to work proactively and independently
- Strong team player
- Some experience/knowledge of using social media tools.
- Most important is a drive to make things happen and an ability get things done
- Applicants should hold a full clean driver’s license for site visits to more remote locations.
Desirable Skills
- A keen interest in food and food trends along with an interest in multiple retail operations would be beneficial for the ideal candidate
- It would be beneficial for the applicant to have an understanding of business skills, in particular marketing and brand building in the food industry.
