Placement summary

Scott Direct Ltd is an established Business Division of The Scott Group. We are an industrial services products provider and due to continued growth, we are now recruiting for a skilled marketing graduate to undertake an exciting 12 month placement at our base in Grangemouth. This is a key role and will be based around developing an understanding of and planning strategic digital marketing campaigns. The successful canidate will also have excellent knowledge of web associated technologies and how they drive traffic and sales in an online environment.

Project Description

To implement and undertake company strategy in increasing customer buying capabilites through using a variety of marketing media to drive customer traffic through website.

To be able to use various types of graphic software including photoshop, dreamweaver and have good knowledge of social media applications such as Facebook, YouTube, Blog production etc.

Placement Objectives

To be able to generate more customer interest and sales through our E Commerce System by ensuring that our website is maximised and marketed to its fullest potential and is attractive and easy to navigate promoting our products and ensuring links with Social Media to encourage traffic and Corporate Identity.

Role Description

• Generate and update website contents (products, content, promotions)
• Understanding of and the ability to plan strategic digital marketing campaigns
• Knowledge of web and associated technologies in driving traffic and sales in an online environment
• Work with agencies to build traffic & sales via the website (PPC agency, email marketing provider, e-commerce provider etc)
• Plan, define and implement website changes and functional improvements
• Monitor key performance indicators on the website and develop plans to improve themProduce reports to analyse the performance of all online marketing campaigns and promotions
• Create banners, images, promotions etc for display on the website (using products like photoshop)

Qualifications

Degree in appropriate discipline. A keen interest in digital marketing is also essential.

Skills / Experience

Essential Skills

• Experience in using web analytics to inform the decision making process
• Experience in the use of Excel and Photoshop
• Knowledge of Multi point social media such as You Tube, Vimeo, Facebook, Google+, setting up blogs
• Experience of using Dreamweaver
• Experience of using Video Editing Software + the making of short, sharp demo videos of products
• Google Docs

Desirable Skills

• Basic understanding of Google Products such as Webmaster Tools & Analytics
