Provista UK Ltd have an excellent opportunity for a graduate with an interest in Project Management and technology. Experts in Networking and Communications solutions, we are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our Project Management team based at our offices in Hamilton. You will gain Prince2 project management certification in order to manage projects through the full lifecycle. This is a 12 month placement, with view to permanent hire.

Project Description

This role will work in close partnership with Sales & Account Managers, other Project Managers, Engineers and Admin colleagues to deliver a diverse range of projects and contribute to the efficient operation of the Project Management department. Projects you may be involved with include: Wireless Installation, Networking Infrastructure and Telephony Installation.

The position would suit new graduates seeking to establish a career in Project Management, with a background in IT or an interest in technology; or someone currently working as a Project Co-ordinator and looking to take the next step in their development. Training will be provided with formal project management training in the form of Prince2 being achieved within 12 Months.

Placement Objectives

The position is based in Hamilton and will initially involve managing the delivery of small to medium projects making sure they are delivered in accordance with the company’s methodology and to a high level of customer satisfaction. 

Role Description

As the successful candidate, you will work closely with the Sales & Account Managers, other Project Managers, Engineers and Admin colleagues to deliver a diverse range of networking and communications solutions projects.

From the planning phase through to operational delivery, you will be fully involved throughout the full project lifecycle and will:

  • exercise project control,
  • produce and maintain the project plans,
  • manage development and implementation of the solutions,
  • ensure project costs is maintained,
  • ensure that acceptance criteria are fulfilled,
  • manage risks,
  • liaise with resource management,
  • produce progress reports & associated project documentation
  • manage relationships with both customers and external 3rd parties suppliers. 

Qualifications

Graduate from an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, in a relevant discipline. Knowledge or experience in an IT field would be a bonus.

  • Proficient user of Microsoft office tools (Project would be advantageous)
  • Full UK driving license would be highly beneficial.

Desirable Skills

  • Ideally you will have experience working in an IT environment.
