Placement summary

This 12 week student placement will provide Quality Assurance (QA) support for the manufacture of ProStrakan’s products in order to ensure that each product is manufactured and supplied to the marketplace in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP). Products must also comply with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements, Marketing Authorisations, company operating policies and procedures and business requirements. This is an excellent chance to gain valuable paid experience in a thriving company.

Project Description

This placement will assist in the maintenance and execution of the ProStrakan QA System by the successful student performing specific quality system activities under the supervision of a QA Product Specialist.

Tasks:

  • Assist with the execution and management of the quality complaint system
  • Request and follow up on CAPA actions in response to audit findings & deviation investigations
  • Assist with preparation of Technical (Quality) Agreements
  • To be trained in and assist with initial review of batch record documentation
  • Attend project management meetings under the guidance of a QA product specialist
  • Participate and assist in the internal audit (self-inspection) programme
  • Participate in quality meetings between ProStrakan and CMOs
  • Record-keeping and status tracking associated with QA Systems

Qualifications

This placement is part of The Scottish Life Sciences Internship Programme. The programme is only open to students in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year, who are studying an undergraduate Life Science Degree in Scotland.
