Based in Cumbernauld near Glasgow, this 12 month business development project will have an impact in both domestic and international markets.

Project Description

As a Business Development Graduate you will be responsible for developing relationships throughout the supply chain, working in association with our Directors, Managers and Consultants, instructed from time to time.

Placement Objectives

The successful candidate will play a key role in the maintenance and development of an exciting new specific project within the Food and Drink market. This project is aimed at both domestic and international markets.        

Role Description

Main Tasks:

  • Working closely initially with Directors and key project leaders
  • Work with the business to develop a cohesive customer plan that outlines targets and sales opportunities with key retailers that suit the ability, volume limitations and capability of the businesses involved
  • Support the collaboration of the key producers and pull together a cohesive range for presentation to retailers and in doing so support the brand opportunity for growth
  • Establish promotion plans to develop new opportunities in existing and potential customer base
  • Review opportunities for growth within product ranges that ensure profitable growth for the business in key accounts.  This may include developing new ranges in conjunction with the Food and Drink Hub and various suppliers yet to be identified
  • Drive through new listings and develop key seasonal and every day listing opportunities
  • Carry out in-depth and detailed marketing analyses in both the National and International Markets

Qualifications

A Degree in any Business related discipline would be ideal.

  • Some food or branding experience gained within a UK business would be advantageous
