We are an industry leader in the supply of local foods and operate a unique business model and supply chain within both Food Service and Convenience Retail markets.
Dynamic growth and a continually evolving operational environment means that the opportunity now exists for the right candidate to join the team responsible for managing all supply chain activities.
Liaising directly with both suppliers and customers and reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this is a demanding role that will provide excellent opportunities for development. You will need to be proactive, meet deadlines, have the ability to communicate with people across a broad business environment and possess the drive and flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team.
Placement Objectives
Role Description:
The main objectives of this role are to:
- Keeping the invoice queue to a minimum by analysing and solving invoice issues
- Addition of new products using generic templates
- Adding, blocking and re-working of price sheet lines
- Running sales, purchase, finance reports
- Dealing with the request of the ROMS and Sales team
- Replying to customer requests ranging from item pricing to annual reports
- Dealing direct with customers and assisting with their requests and issues
- Accessing and navigating multiple ordering sites
- Negotiating prices with customers and suppliers
- Dealing with annual price increase.
Qualifications
Essential
Graduate from an HNC, HND, Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
Ideal
Due to the day-to-day tasks revolving around prices and percentages, a background in economics or finance would be preferable.
Skills / Experience
Essential Skills
The successful candidate will:
- Be highly numerate
- Possess good oral and written communication skills
- Have an aptitude for investigation and problem solving
- Possess the drive and flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team
- Have proactive organisational skills to meet deadlines
- Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
