Job description
Project Description
The candidate will be responsible for planning and performing the necessary experimental work. They will be expected to discuss the results with their supervisor and decide on the next steps to be taken, as well as document and report their data in a GLP compliant manner. They will need to interact and coordinate with other staff in order to achieve their aims, which allows for a lot of experience and networking in a short period of time.
Qualifications
This placement is part of The Scottish Life Sciences Internship Programme. The programme is only open to students in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year, who are studying an undergraduate Life Science Degree in Scotland. Placement benefits
The candidate will gain experience and training in the performance of research work in an industry setting. They will be trained in the necessary techniques as well as in areas such as the GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) documentation of data and the use of laboratory software systems. The successful candidate will also gain experience in experimental planning and the reporting of data, and gain experience of presentations as they will be expected to present their results to other scientists.
