Bray Controls (UK) Ltd is looking to recruit a talented graduate to help deliver a key growth related projected which is based on the delivery of Bray’s exciting new products to the market through the preparation of technical and commercial quotations. This is a 12 month placement and will be based at our Inchinnan office in Renfrewshire.

Project Description

Bray International continues to invest heavily in the development of our product range and as this range grows and becomes more technical we require the enhanced skills and technical abilities of graduate level employees. It is hoped that the graduate will be able to apply their technical knowledge to properly assess customer requirements and applications, find opportunities to utilise our new products and grow market share with users and applications that we have historically not been able to access.

Placement Objectives

  • Introduce Bray's new products to the market
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to sell new products
  • Submit project proposals in the form of techncial and commerical quotations
  • Increase market share in new business areas
  • Increase market share in terms of product distribution and installed population

Role Description

Main Tasks:

  • Initial review of the enquiry/RFQ
  • Sourcing and interacting with sub-vendors and other Bray divisions
  • Detailed costing and estimating
  • Preparation of detailed technical and commercial offers with statements on compliance/non-compliance and deviations
  • Clarification with the client on technical and commercial queries, following their evaluation quote
  • Contract reviews
  • Use Bray's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to log, reference and update project statuses
  • Planning, managing and priortising active enquiries on the basis of priority and urgency
  • Review of technical literature and preparation of technical marketing materials
  • Attend trade shows and exhibitions

Qualifications

HND or Degree in a technical / engineering / science discipline.

Skills / Experience

  • Excellent communication and English language skills
  • Confident using MS Office packages
  • Possess excellent problem solving skills
  • Have a keen eye for detail
  • Appreciate the importance of being a team player
  • Can work independently and be a self-starter
  • Possess sound judgment and good business sense
  • Understand the importance of building successful and effective relationships

Desirable Skills

  • Sales and/or customer service experience
  • Additional language skills would be an advantage
