Placement summary

Sunvic Controls Ltd, one of the UK's largest manufacturers of central heating system controls are looking for a recent graduate for an exciting 12 month placement at their headquarters in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire. This is a marketing role and would suit a graduate who is keen to develop a career with a growing company and has an interest in marketing and sales and is confident in delivering successful project outcomes. This is a 4 day per week placement (32 hours per week).

Project Description

This is an important project for the company which is aimed at improving marketing activities and outputs with an increase in sales.

This is a 4 day per week placement (32 hours per week).

The role will cover all aspects of marketing, sales and sales and customer service and specific responsibilities will include the following:

• Marketing communications- support marketing manager with developing specific marketing campaigns and activities
• Provide input and support on the promotion of Special Offers
• Draw up sales contracts
• B2B telesales
• Update ACT! customer database
• Outbound telesales (promotional and new business)

Placement Objectives

The placement and project will be deemed a success if there are increases in sales, the number of new sales leads and the number of sales visits.

Role Description

• Working to targets and deadlines to ensure excellent support levels are offered to our valued customers and potential new customers.
• Communicating across internal departments and with our external team of sales professionals throughout the UK
• Screen Public Sector portals and identify and transfer 10 tenders per month to the sales team
• Screen ACT database and the internet to identify sales opportunities with a view to setting up 50 appointments each month

Qualifications

HNC, HND or degree qualified in any qualification discipline but have a genuine interest in sales and marketing.

Skills / Experience

Essential Skills

• Good IT skills with proven experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Experience of using a CRM software package would be ideal.
• Comfortable and confident in dealing with every aspect of customer sales and service support over the telephone
• Professional in approach with an excellent telephone manner
• Possess a positive attitude with a can-do/will-do approach to task management
• An effective team member with a flexible and pragmatic approach
• Have an eye for attention to detail

Desirable Skills

• Appropriate experience in a similar role
• A friendly and helpful disposition to our customers
• Organised and demonstrate good time management skills
