Placement summary

SoConnect is a fast growing, successful telecommunications provider, selling services to businesses throughout the UK at competitive prices. Due to continued expansion, we now have an exciting graduate placement opportunity which will be based in our new head office near Newtown St. Boswells, set in a stunning location in the Scottish Borders. The successful candidate will take an active role, working with both the provisioning and support team.

Project Description

This provisioning and service delivery placement will be responsible for delivering an efficient provisioning and support service as required by the relevant department.

Placement Objectives

The placement will be deemed a success if there the successful candidate can implement and delivering an efficient provisioning and support service as in conjunction with the relevant teams.

Role Description

The role will involve taking and receiving provisioning and project service calls and managing the task through to completion with our internal team and range of external suppliers.

You will also take forward project implementation and delivery of the range of services we deliver from installation and management of high speed internet circuits, Local Area Networks, hosted IP Telephony implementation, hosted MS Exchange.

You will communicate clearly with customers during their on boarding process and manage their expectations.

In addition to this, you will be expected to take first line support requests and work to diagnose faults.

You will report directly to both the Project and Service Delivery Managers.

Qualifications

HND or Degree in any discipline will be considered.

Skills / Experience

Essential Skills

• Experience working in an office environment Experience working with Microsoft applications e.g. Excel, Word and Outlook
• Good customer service skills
• Good communication skills
• Comfortable working as part of a close knit team, but also able to work autonomously with the drive to succeed
• Have excellent attention to detail and be thorough and conscientious in their approach to task fulfilment
• Problem solving skills and a positive 'can do' approach to task management

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in a similar environment
• Driving licence and own transport
• ICT qualification with knowledge of some or all of the following:

             • IP Telephony / VOIP

             • LAN/WAN Networking

             • Hosted/Cloud Applications
