The initial placement is for 12 months and will report to the Sales Director. Project Description

The aim of this project is to help grow Re-Tek's business by gathering market intelligence that allows Re-Tek to win contracts with large corporate organisations and IT Service Delivery companies.

The project will be broken down into stages:

  • Gaining an understanding of Re-Tek's business and the market environment through a programme of training in the different Re-Tek departments
  • Create a list of accounts to be targeted
  • Map, account, and identify 
    • key contacts & decision makers
    • the process for becoming a supplier
    • their current service provider and key service requirements
  • Drive Customer Engagement  
    • register on relevant supplier portals and/or register interest
    • build a register of all relevant data required by Re-Tek to target customer appropriately
  • Co-ordinate the submission of tender responses (longer term create tender responses)

Placement Objectives

Our supportive team wish for the successful gradaute to learn the basics of good business practice, through working in a growing successful business where you will be encouraged by your colleagues and given the opportunity to take part in monthly Management and Sales Meetings. In these meetings, strategic and operational issues are discussed, as well as business performance being reviewed.  

The successful candidate will also participate in the success of the business by helping generate leads for the team of Senior Account Managers.

Role Description

You must be a self-starter able to work under own initiative.  

This role requires someone with commercial understanding, good communication skills, and the ability to effectively speak to corporate customers to gather information and assess opportunities.

Main Tasks:

  • Desk based research via Google, LinkedIn, and other internet sources to identify key decision makers
  • Call and email contacts to confirm decision makers and understand purchasing processes
  • Build and cultivate relationships with target organisations 
  • Document all findings in a way that allows tracking of results and prioritisation of next steps
  • Co-ordinate and organise tasks for the team

Qualifications

HNC, HND, or Degree in a business related subject would be ideal, although applications are welcome from graduates with any qualification who are interested in developing their career with us.
