Pat Munro Ltd, a family owned multi-discipline contractor based in Highlands has an exciting 12 week project in their accounts division.  The company have a vacancy for a Business Systems Officer who will help to move their invoicing processes from manual to on-line. 

The role will involve analysing current systems, liaising with customers and researching new accounts systems that the company could implement.

This position is part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the European Regional Development Fund.

 

Placement Objectives

To help Pat Munro move from a paper based accounts system to an online system.

Role Description

As part of the drive to improve the company systems at Pat Munro, it has been identified that there is still an over- reliance on paper based systems.  The move to the use of an e-invoicing system will speed up these processes and help to reduce Pat Munro’s carbon footprint.

Qualifications

Open to all current HNC, HND and undergraduate degree students who will return to their studies after the summer. Candidates will be considered provided they have the required skills.

Essential Skills

  1. Pleasant  telephone manner
  2. Knowledge of business computer systems (Exchange and Microsoft Office)
  3. Good communication skills
  4. Proactive, work on own initiative.
  5. Willingness to learn new systems
  6. Ability to gather and analyse data

They own and operate their own quarries, manufacture roadstone and concrete and also have a Property Development and House Building division, currently developing two sites, one in Alness and the other in Dornoch.

Pat Munro has expertise in Civil Engineering, Waste Disposal, Road Surfacing, and Utility work.  The main office is at Caplich Quarry in Alness, with a quarry in Dornoch and a Waste Transfer Station in Inverness.
