Placement summary

Oscha Slings are an online business that creates textile baby carriers, and other related products, which we sell worldwide.  Effective marketing is key to our success and we are seeking a talented and committed graduate to help us  work on a project which will see you deploying all your digital and traditional marketing skills to help us promote our business and products more widely, all of which will hopefully lead to increase in sales and business growth. This is a 12 month placement which will be based in Loanhead near Edinburgh.

Project Description

Working to the Marketing & Events Co-ordinator you will support and increase our marketing, social media and PR activities to make sure our customers get the products they need and love, and awareness of our products grows.  This will include writing and managing website listings, posting on social media, liaising with our models and creating a buzz around our products. This is a project to increase brand awareness, measured by a growth of interaction and ‘likes’ on all social media platforms we use, finding a celebrity blogger who promotes our products and, ultimately, through increased sales.

Placement Objectives

If delivered successfully, this placement will help our business in the following areas:

• Help us to increase brand awareness with new and existing customers
• Increase interaction (our customers like to talk to us and we welcome their suggestions and ideas)
• Increase the number of 'likes' on social media platforms
• Source a celebrity blogger

Role Description

Main Tasks:

• Responsible for regularly adding content, monitoring and developing Oscha’s social media presence, including daily posts on Instagram , daily work on Pintrest, Twitter and any other agreed platforms
• Write exciting copy for our website and Facebook posts for new and regular products
• Assist in the management and preparation of marketing and PR resources and materials for events and other promotional opportunities
• Developing and maintaining databases around events, photography/modelling, bloggers/reviews and keeping an up to date bank of fantastic seasonal images for us to draw on
• Assisting in development of positive PR communications and searching for appropriate influencers/bloggers/reviewers, chasing up celebrity influencer leads, identifying opportunities
• Any other related duties

Qualifications

HND or degree in a relevant subject such as marketing or business. We will accept applications from graduates with any background but you must possess all of the essential skills as described in the advert.

• Enthusiastic and competent social media user
• Creative, yet organised
• Ethical approach
• Experience of producing content for published media either on or offline

Desirable Skills

• Previous marketing/advertising/PR experience
