This is a first class opportunity to join a small team working for established travel business, McKinlay Kidd. The graduate placement project will see the successful candidate assisting the Directors in developing the company's overall marketing presence,
with specific focus on digital, in key markets such as North America, Australia, France and Germany, as well as the UK.
Although advertised as a full-time role, we would consider flexible hours amounting to a minimum of four days per week (with pro rata salary and holidays).
Main Tasks:
Managing McKinlay Kidd’s online marketing, website content, social media presence and SEO/PPC campaigns with guidance from the Directors
Carrying out market research (online) to assist in identifying country priorities for B2C marketing, plus event and content priorities
Tracking McKinlay Kidd’s online profile and business performance internationally and within the UK
Competitor and price monitoring Identifying and converting PR opportunities, both online and offline Supporting the general marketing and promotion of the business to achieve growth targets.
Qualifications
- Degree in any discipline
- Higher Maths and English
Skills / Experience
Essential Skills:
Knowledge of Scotland as a tourism destination, some knowledge of Ireland also an advantage
Excellent communicator (written and spoken) Strong numeracy and analytical skills Excellent understanding of (and interest in) digital media /internet /e-commerce/ PPC / SEO/ social media
Aptitude for using computer programmes eg Excel, CRM systems Enthusiastic and keen to learn Comfortable working as part of a small team in an entrepreneurial business Ability to be proactive and work on own initiative Strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction
Desirable Skills:
Ideally fluent in at least one European language other than English
