Placement summary

Glasgow based Kelvin Power Tools are looking for a recent graduate to assist with marketing activity which is geared to promoting all aspects of the business. This will include web-marketing, email campaigns, leaflets, point of sale material and in-store events. If completed successfully, the project could lead to a permanent position.

Project Description

This is a wide ranging project which will encompass all aspects of website marketing including management of product listings on the site, link building, optimisation and adwords campaigns. Other activities will include creation of emails and subsequent e-marketing campaigns, creation of leaflets and point of sale materials.

Placement Objectives

The principle project objective is to further develop our existing UK e-commerce business and begin to access the European market. We are also keen to expand our existing core business through locally targeted marketing activity and further development of the website resulting in achieving significant turnover growth.

Role Description

Tasks and activities consist of all aspects of website marketing including:

  • Responsibility for the management of product listings on the site
  • Link building
  • Optimisation and adwords campaigns.
  • Other activities more general marketing activities will include creation of emails and subsequent campaigns, creation of leaflets and point of sale materials.

Qualifications

HNC, HND or Degree in Marketing.

Skills / Experience

Essential Skills

  • Must have a desire to forge a career in marketing, following successful completion of studies.
  • Competent in all MS Office applications
  • Excellent all-round communication skills
  • Committed team member
  • Creative problem solver

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Photoshop and Desktop Publishing software
