Placement summary

IBioIC has a fantastic opportunity available for a science graduate to be based with our project team at our site in Glasgow city centre. This 12-week placement will see the successful candidate rotate round all business areas offered by IBioIC and cover a range of different projects.

Job description

Project Description

This role covers all business areas of IBioIC and the successful candidate will rotate around each department and be allowed to work on different projects alongside members of the project team. The role is varied in nature and will allow the successful candidate to gain insight into the workings of an innovation centre.

Placement Objectives

  • To contribute to the management and support of funded projects
  • To assist the business development team
  • To contribute to the skills programme and in particular assist the skills team in STEM and outreach activities and events Main Tasks
  • Help update marketing and communications plan for IBioIC for website and newsletter
  • Assist BD team in looking for new business opportunities
  • Develop relationships with existing customer base
  • Assist events team in scoping out future events
  • Attend and participate in project meetings
  • Assist PM with assessment of project applications
  • Assist SPM in recruitment of students, STEM and outreach events
