We are Hyaltech, a biomedical company located in Livingston and we have an exciting opportunity for a talented graduate to join us for a 12 month placement. The Graduate Validation Engineer role will see you developing processes around the validation of manufacturing equipment. You must possess a degree in a relevant engineering discipline to be able to deliver this project. However, we will provide you with role-specific training and ensure that you are fully supported throughout the placement in the Validation department.

Project Description

This important project will see you working in our Validation department and you will be involved in validating manufacturing equipment to GMP and regulatory validation requirements as well as cleaning validation and help maintaining and developing the validation master plan. Overall, the project will assist us with validation workload, as well as helping to ensure that associated projects are able to continue.

Placement Objectives

The project objective will be to validate manufacturing equipment to GMP and regulatory validation requirements, in line with the company's master plan, in a timely and efficient manner.

Role Description

Main Tasks:

  • Performing and reviewing equipment design
  • Writing equipment/process User Requirement Specifications (URS)
  • Validating production equipment
  • Writing and executing Installation Qualification (IQ), Operation Qualification (OQ) and Performance Qualification (PQ)
  • Validating cleaning processes, writing and executing cleaning validation protocols
  • Reviewing existing equipment cleaning procedures and implementing qualification and improvement activities
  • Reviewing existing Sterilisation in Place procedures and implementing qualification and improvement activities
  • Raising, investigating and closure of Validation Deviations
  • Participating in documentation activities, liaising with appropriate personnel to progress updates, approvals, in accordance with the company quality systems
  • Liaison with Contract personnel  

Qualifications

Degree in engineering or technological discipline.

  • Self-motivated individual who is eager to learn

Desirable Skills

  • Equipment validation experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical or related industry
  • Industry recognised qualification
