Placement summary
High Life Highland, a charity developing and promoting opportunities in culture, learning, sport, leisure, health and wellbeing are recruiting for a graduate for a 12 month digital communications role. The project seeks to support the company’s business growth through an increasing use of digital communication and social media.
The successful graduate will undertake specific pieces of new work and produce the framework for this development which will make a significant contribution to the company’s growth over the next five years.

Project Description
The successful graduate will work with our Marketing and Communications Manager and ICT Manager to help to develop a Digital Communications Strategy for High Life Highland and to ensure that the use of social media is maximised and integrated within the strategy. The Graduate would become engaged in researching and implementing solutions to specific marketing and communications and ICT issues that will emerge while the strategy is developing, such that operational progress is maintained in parallel to the formation of the longer term framework and action plan that emerges.
The project and the role will combine back office research with front line implementation and will be very outcome focused. We will to use this opportunity to create the business case that demonstrates the permanent need for this role as a consequence of the direct contribution it can make to the ongoing growth of the company’s customer base.
This position is part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the European Regional Development Fund.

High Life Highland (HLH) operates across the Highlands of Scotland, currently within the geographical boundary of The Highland Council’s (THC) administrative area. It is a company owned by Highland Council, but with its own independent Board. HLH was established on 1st October 2011 to deliver a suite of Community Learning and Leisure Services through a contract with THC, and to develop and deliver new business streams.
