Job description

Project Description

We are fast moving with a variety of different tasks, with little staying still for long. The scope of the project covers many applications in the business environment. Initially, you will conduct a full and wide-ranging review our current ICT scoping requirements. The project will also require you to investigate the current range of software and hardware that is available in the marketplace to enable us to connect and streamline our business operation. You will then make recommendations on the most appropriate platforms and then assist with the implementation phase.

If done successfully, this project will streamline and integrate our business operations and give us real-time business information to enable us to make better and more strategically informed decisions, crucial to the ongoing growth of our business.

Placement Objectives

This project will see you carrying out a review of our current platforms and business systems. You will conduct research, present findings and then design the optimum system/s which will complement existing processes, all aimed at delivering improvements to reporting and controls within our business.

Role Description

Main Tasks:

  • Assist and develop with in-house IT investment/developments
  • Process, various documents and electronic information; manage, organise, and update relevant data using database applications
  • Design and maintain necessary XRL reports
  • Communicate and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally to assist and enable organisational operations and effective service to internal departments, suppliers and customers
  • Analyse and interpret financial statistics and other data and produce relevant reports
  • Interpret instructions and issues arising, and then implement actions according to administrative policies and procedures
  • Research and investigate information to enable strategic decision-making by others
  • Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences, and project team activities
  • Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility
  • Provide administrative IT support and assistance in all areas as necessitated by workload and needs of the business
  • Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to Company approval

Qualifications

Degree in Computing Science would be ideal for the role.

  • Full driving licence is essential

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Pegasus Software packages and XRL would be advantageous
