Dunns Food and Drinks Ltd is a growing family business which has been in existence since 1875. We have identified the need to review our procurement practices with the aim of streamlining our processes. This will be a 12 month project and will suit a graduate with a business-related degree, although we are happy to receive applications from any graduate who possesses the key qualities required to deliver the project successfully.

Project Description
We have identified that within our buying department, there is a lack of innovation in particular categories and there is now a need to review processes. Our immediate focus will consider improvements in our Craft Beer / Craft Sector.
The project will be conducted in 4 phases:
Quarter 1 - Induction company/ IT and Buying department
Quarter 2 - Growing market awareness
Quarter 3 - Stock management- replenishment, new listings and de-lists
Quarter 4 - Compile a report of findings and recommendations for the category strategy moving into year 2
Placement Objectives
This project is aimed at helping to improve the connections between the developing markets and our buying patterns by having a better understanding of our systems and processes as well as the needs of our customers.
Role Description
Main Tasks:
- Daily stock checks and stock orders with the controllers
- Attend supplier meetings with the buyers and present minutes from the meeting
- Work alongside marketing colleagues on sector specific promotions
- Conduct relevant market research using a variety of resources, including product literature and digital media
- Participate in trade accompaniments with Sales Team
Qualifications
Ideally, you will have at least a 2:1 Honours or a Postgraduate degree
