This placement will provide vocational business experience in a young Scottish Biotechnology Company. Be involved in a rapidly growing field within the Medtech Industry for this 12-week placement! Job description

Project Description

The project will be to identify academic/spinout and seed biotechs within the collagen medical device market. The successful candidate will be tasked with engaging with clients alongside the commercial organisation to understand the market need within R&D development of regenerative medicine, cell therapy and diagnostics. Other task include to funnel in business opportunities to the commercial organisation, and to support our focused Marketing.

The student will be responsible for creating an account segmentation plan based on published literature of academics around collagen embedded medical devices, and join the commercial organisation on some client skype/ t-con meetings.

They will also undertake a mining exercise to extract trends in technology and therapy areas within seed and spinout biotechs. Success will be demonstrated by the a completion of an account segmentation plan, and business strategy, for engaging and understanding specific client groups.

This placement is intended to provide a Life Science student with experience in a commercial setting.
