Placement summary

Buchanan Orthotics is looking to recruit a skilled Digital Marketing graduate for a key business project.  The ideal candidate is someone who has a real interest in digital marketing, as the role will involve continued learning and development of changing technology and platforms. Any prior knowledge of web design or IT would be an advantage. This would initially be a 12 month placement, with the view to a permanent position at our Glasgow office.

Project Description

This placement will look to deliver across several marketing themed projects. Specifically, you will be involved in liaising with the clinical and management team to develop social media, digital marketing and our online presence.

Placement Objectives

To develop a successful online strategy to help deliver growth in sales and product awareness.

Role Description

The job will include working in conjunction with both our web designer and senior management, to deliver a strategy to understand and reach the demographic the company is targeting. Whilst the role will include working independently to deliver targets, there will be support from right across the business, and any additional training/learning will be offered where required. 

Task will include:

• Managing Social media streams, including Google plus, Facebook, twitter, Pinterest etc.
• Managing Digital Marketing responsibilities.
• Google Adwords, budgeting, pay-per-click etc
• Learning and executing Google analytics operations
• Managing advertising budget and execution of strategy.
• Coordinating with Web Designer.
• Operating using platforms such as ‘hootsuite’.
• SEO activities such as display/remarketing and optimising content.
• Content marketing planning of campaigns.

Qualifications

HND or Degree qualified in marketing, with particular interest in digital marketing would be ideal.

Skills / Experience

Essential Skills

• You must be able to develop an understating of the target market segment
• The ability to interact with web designer, clinical staff and management
• Being well organised across a range of activities – being able to work independently and deliver goals
• A keen interest in continued learning and developing digital skills
• Knowledge of using Social media channels
• At least basic knowledge of SEO and google marketing
• The ability to develop and deliver content for social media streams and web pages

Desirable Skills

• Any knowledge of web design or development
• A keen interest in developing online businesses
• Any knowledge of brand development
