Placement summary

Glasgow based Berkeley Myles Solutions is looking to recruit an IT or Engineering graduate to undertake a Software Trainer project role. This new role will compliment our existing Support department and look at ways of improving the delivery of training and implementation to both new and existing users of our ProgressPlus Manufacturing Software.  The role will be office-based although we would anticipate that regular travel throughout the UK & Ireland will be required. You will report directly to the Company Directors.

Successful delivery of this project will allow us to roll-out our unique customer care experience across a wider customer base and will allow us to attract further business in the knowledge that we have the right support structure in place to deliver it to an exceptional standard.  Other key ambitions of the project are that it will allow us to retain more of our existing customer base, attract new customers and drive increased profitability.

Overall, this placement will aim to demonstrate the significance of our existing Training & Support model to our business and that existing customers can continue to utilise ProgressPlus to the maximum. 

Placement Objectives

At the end of this project, we would expect to be able to fully fine tune our customer care process to our clients needs. We will expect to have a fully developed and formal process which has dedicated resources and systems and will be scaleable.

Role Description

Main Tasks:

• Carry out follow-up implementation at our customers' premises and online from our offices. 
• Develop process flow solutions to fit individual customer requirements.
• Providing helpdesk support for existing users via telephone, email and remote control

Qualifications

Degree in appropriate discipline, ideally IT or Engineering

Skills / Experience

Essential Skills

• Be qualified in a suitable degree, ideally either IT or engineering
• Possess a confident and outgoing personality
• Must be self-motivated and comfortable working on own initiative
• Understand the importance of delivering exceptional customer service
• First class communication and presentation skills

Desirable Skills

• Experience of a similar role
• Knowledge and understanding of business systems encompassing company-wide processes including manufacturing & accounting procedures
