What's your company's background?

IC Mobile Lab started in December 2011 as a mobile apps development house and then started transitioning to a product company in late 2012 in to thein emerging market of Mobile Augmented Reality.

We are now completing and launching our first product PrintAR aimed at advertising agencies and brands turning flat images into interactive 3D experiences that engage users.

What has the graduate been involved in?

Zeinab manages our pre-launch Customer Relation Management system finding new products we can approach.  She also manages the external image of the product through our social media and blogger outreach @printarapp.

Why did you decide to use the programme?

As a growing company, resources are often limited but you don’t want to compromise where it counts, quality, work ethic and enthusiasm things I passionately believe good graduates have in abundance as they set out to make their mark on the world.

How have you benefited from employing a graduate?

They are eager to learn and enjoy being pushed to excel at new task and given the freedom to make mistakes when need be. I’ve found the graduates we’ve employed to be energetic and bring that energy to the office.

What knowledge and skills has the graduate brought to your organisation?

They’ve brought the broader picture of marketing into the company but they’ve really developed there real world skills as they worked through the problems we’ve had here and that learning has been invaluable to us.

Any final thoughts on the ScotGrad programme?

We got a real benefit from using ScotGrad, not just in reducing the financial risk of taking on new staff but also in being able to understand how to develop new members of the team to get the most out of the experience for both parties.
