SK Chase is delighted to offer an exciting 12-month placement opportunity where you will play a pivotal role in helping us develop our gift voucher platform interface. Specifically, the two key areas of focus will be on developing the front end of our application enabling us to meet the growing needs of our existing business to business hotel client base as well as developing our new business to consumer interface - the GiftRound Store.
We work with around 300 luxury hotels, mainly but not exclusively in the UK. Examples of our hotel clients include Gleneagles (gleneagles.skchase.com), Macdonald Hotels (macdonald.skchase.com), Corinthia London (corinithiahotellondon.skchase.com). SK Chase pioneered the gift voucher model in the hospitality sector and we enjoy working with some of the best luxury hotels in the UK.
We pride ourselves on offering outstanding service to our hotel clients and over the last year we've invested heavily in our platform in order to get back to being the best in the marketplace. However, we can see that there is still a lot we can improve upon whilst maintaining our existing system.
You will bring your recently acquired skills, knowledge and expertise to help us deliver on two key strands of our digital and technical capabilities. Both project elements will help us to meet the changing needs of our business and customers.
Despite having released new browse functionality over the last year we are ready to develop it further with the focus being on improving conversion. We are in the process of mapping out new roles within the business that will support conversion from data analysis and marketing perspectives. This project will focus on using the intelligence gleaned from analysis to improve conversion working on short iterations within a team of developers.
The second part of this project will focus on developing the GiftRound store. This is a group collection platform that enables collection organisers to easily collect a pot of funds for special gift occasions such as birthdays, retirement, engagement, wedding, maternity etc. The collection platform is already developed (giftround.co.uk) and SK Chase is joint venturing with GiftRound to create a 'one stop shop' store where organisers of collections can quickly and easily purchase gifts using the collected funds.
Whilst this is a new venture and a different model to the existing SK Chase B2B model, the front end requires the same functionality. It's important to us that the development being done on the SK Chase platform also considers the GR store and many of the features that have been scoped out so far are synonymous.
Degree qualified in appropriate IT discipline would be ideal for this role.

SK Chase is an established business that has been operating for 15 years enabling hotels to sell a range of luxury hotel gift vouchers to customers visiting their websites. As well as enabling hotels to sell gift vouchers, we also provide a 'back end' enabling hotels to update the status of vouchers, check validity, download management reports and manage their offering themselves. We provide a fulfilment service for the hotels where we print and dispatch vouchers in hotel branded stationery as well as providing customer service to hotel staff and their customers who have purchased vouchers.
