Based in Forres, AES Solar is a leading manufacturer of solar thermal and solar PV (photovoltaic).

As a rapidly growing business they now have an exciting opportunity for a 12-month graduate placement to strengthen digital brand presence, by helping to revamp the website and create a new social media approach.

Project Description

The successful candidate will help re-energise the website content, as well as creating a social media strategy to strengthen AES Solar’s brand.

Role Description

Specific tasks of the placement will include:

  • Work with a marketing agency to design an industry leading website.
  • Practical experience of SEO and CRO and it’s benefits.
  • Create a programme of photography both internally and via customers, using Photoshop or equivalent.
  • Generate and co-ordinate website content, including case studies and blogs.
  • Build a strong digital presence, by introducing KPIs and the use of Google analytics or equivalent.
  • Strengthen website performance to build engagement
  • Develop and implement a robust social media strategy (consider the implementation of Hootsuite or equivalent).
  • Build brand awareness through digital and PR marketing.
  • Develop a GDPR compliant marketing database.
  • Co-ordinate AES Solar’s attendance at events and exhibitions; developing a 12-month event calendar.

During the interview process candidates will be expected to demonstrate their practical application of digital design tools, including Photoshop or equivalent.

Qualifications

Minimum Degree, preferably related to Digital Marketing. Other subjects accepted provided the candidate has the required digital skills. 

Skills / Experience

Essential Skills

  • Good knowledge of marketing and its principles.
  • Excellent IT skills, with a practical application of digital design tools and social media platforms, e.g. Photoshop, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral
  • Creative mind, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of the wider team.
  • Able to plan and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible and able to multitask.
  • Pro-active, with a can-do attitude.
  • The commitment to complete this 12-month project.

Desirable Skills

  • Willingness to develop photography/drone skills
  • Driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally
  • Event management skills
